My client working in the field of medical devices is looking for their Global Marketing Manager.
Marketing Manager Global Upstream
This position is responsible for managing my clients' products. The key function of this role will be to manage the overall product life cycle from product introduction to phase-out.
In addition the candidate will be accountable for the following key activities and responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for driving the development of new products to support the strategic company direction. Serve as the overall product lead for portfolio developing and managing internal and external relationships. Serving as the voice of customer on new product development teams. Be a member and/or lead multifunctional project teams Develop the vision for the development of the product line including defining the overall product strategy and roadmap. Identifying and documenting marketing specifications and opportunities for new product development efforts. Identifying and assisting prioritizing product pipeline internal and external technology development/acquisition when needed to address customers' needs and product gaps. Define launch strategies and plans incl. segmentation positioning geographical roll out commercial strategy pricing and pricing policy . Ensure successful execution of the plan by Field Marketing team. Manage phase in and phase out of new and existing product lines Monitor and analyse marketing and market activities and develop solutions to achieve business goals In conjunction with the appropriate teams eg regulatory clinical map out programs eg clinical data needs necessary to make the product a commercial success Lead strategies implementation globally to ensure successful commercialization incl . forecasts in collaboration with Field marketing
In order to succesfully achieve these missions and responsibilities the candidate must have
- Minimum of 5 years marketing experience in Interventional cardiology. Sales experience is a plus Knowledge of the cardiovascular field. Sound knowledge of interventional cardiology. Ability to understand complex medical procedures and engage in in-depth technical/clinical discussions with physicians staff and key opinion leaders regarding medical procedures and proper product usage. Professional knowledge in upstream product marketing. Experience in launching medical device products and knowledge of relevant regulatory issues Proven ability to develop key messaging on a product and clinical basis Excellent communication skills. Ability to interrelate in an international and multicultural environment Strong analytic skills. Ability to accurately capture market data and inputs and translate these into recognized and acceptable documentation i.e. VOC activities business ideation documents global commercialization plans etc Target and result oriented. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and has the agility/flexibility to change priorities with short notice when necessary Self-driven ability to work independently Strong team player ability to work in matrix environment/cross-functional and with colleagues from remote locations . Ability to lead cross-functional teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Project
