The Swiss Learning Health System (SLHS) is a collaborative project between seven academic partner institutions (Universities of Basel, Lucerne, Lugano, Neuchatel and Zurich, University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland and Zurich University of Applied Sciences) to establish a national platform for health systems and services research, policy and practice. The goal of the SLHS is to foster the dialogue between different stakeholders with the aim of developing and continuously integrating research-based solutions to current and future challenges in the health care system.
To strengthen the Operational Unit of the SLHS, we are currently looking for the position of

2 Coordinators in the Swiss Learning Health System (60-80%)

with start date February 1, 2017 or by arrangement.

Your tasks:

  • Coordination of the activities in the SLHS, including the formulation of calls for evidence syntheses and administering stakeholder dialogues
  • Coordination of the development of health information management tools
  • Coordination of the PhD scholarship program
  • Contribution to scientific project reporting
  • Monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes
  • Research and scientific publications
  • Assisting the head of the operational unit
  • Assistance in research management tasks

Your background:

  • Doctoral degree in economics or political science, or another doctoral degree with a health economics, health policy or health services research focus
  • Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Ability to think creatively and work in an interdisciplinary field
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English (spoken and written)
  • Structured and responsible working method
  • Excellent communication and rhetorical skills
  • Ability to work in a team
     

Willingness for academic advancement (post-graduate qualification) is welcome.

Candidates can expect to work in a challenging position with unique possibilities for research, skills development, interaction with stakeholders in the health care system and strengthening evidence-based policy-making in Switzerland. The positions are for 4 years and will be formally located at the Department of Health Sciences and Health Policy at the University of Lucerne.
