What it's about

In this full time position you will be responsible for supporting Partners Group's Responsible Investment Manager in integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors to add value to the firm's investments and to serve growing client expectations. Your responsibilities, focused primarily on Europe, will include:

  • Update and implement the processes for integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in each of Partners Group's asset classes and investment types
  • Support investment teams across Partners Group in identifying and assessing relevant ESG factors during due diligence on potential investments
  • Collaborate with investment teams and the Industry Value Creation (IVC) team to engage with portfolio investments in order to identify and execute responsible investment projects
  • Manage and report on the portfolio of responsible investment projects across all four asset classes
  • Support the client relationship (INSL) team to serve current clients' responsible investment requests and reporting
  • Contribute to the development of Partners Group's responsible investing strategic development and presentations

What we expect

For this challenging position we are seeking a candidate with a passion for responsible business and investment. They should have a proven track-record of implementing business improvement projects and possess strong influencing and analytical skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:

  • Top academic credentials (Bachelor in Management, Economics or Engineering)
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in driving transformation in mid-sized businesses from an investment, corporate or consulting role within the area of responsible business or sustainability
  • Entrepreneurial person able to take the initiative and contribute to the success of responsible investment at Partners Group
  • Excellent analytical skills e.g. in integrating ESG factors into investment and business analysis and decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with global C-suite level executives
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English. Proficiency/fluency in any other European language, especially German, is considered a plus
  • Flexibility to work with portfolio companies & assets predominantly in Europe
