Bid Manager

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the bids and proposal process
  • Be accountable for the preparation of commercial bids and proposals 
  • Plan, source, manage and staff the internal resources for the offering phase
  • Establish together with sales and engineering teams solution based customer offers respecting financial, time and qualitative objectives
  • Support the bid team and establish project cost calculation
  • Negotiate offer and contract of each project
  • Be responsible to meet functional, scheduled and financial targets 
  • Oversee the progression of the activity from initiation to proposal acceptance
  • Act as intermediate between customer, commercial, legal, technical teams and other internal stakeholders for proposal-related activity
  • Support the deal manager for the storyline and winning strategies

Knowledge, Skills and Education:

  • University degree in computer science or business
  • Ideally 5-8 years in similar role, preferably within ICT environment
  • Experience with management of complex sales projects in a demanding and dynamic market, international experience with global companies required
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in sales, contracts and/or project management
  • Strong team and client orientation with the ability to communicate internally and externally at all levels in a multi-lingual environment
  • Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills reinforced by a structured problem solving approach
  • Ability to autonomously get around in highly challenging, fast paced and complex business environment
  • Excellent English and German writing skills, negotiation and presentation skills (verbal and written)
