Technical and project management aptitude is required, including experience with process optimization, scale up, tech transfer, design control, process validation.

Biosensors Manufacturing Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will be a key contributor to the development of Asecud biosensors and sensing platforms working cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Control. The candidate will work on technical and industrial manufacturing challenges with a primary focus on developing products that profound benefits and commercial implications in the medical diagnostics field. Technical and project management aptitude is required, including experience with process optimization, scale up, tech transfer, design control, process validation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setup the specifications of new products including their production process development and improvement.
  • Fabrication of biosensors and related devices internally or in collaboration with external partners.
  • Physical and chemical characterization of biosensor devices to understand interface between the physical part of the device and its biochemistry component to validate its functioning and determine its failure modes.
  • Development and implementation of manufacturing test strategy during the biosensor devices development.
  • Work with equipment provider partners on the manufacturing process design, equipment configuration and qualification.
  • Identifies root causes of problems in the manufacturing and production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
  • Collaborates with other technical staff to review the projects design, manufacturing, and test documentation; ensures that program or contract quality requirements are met.

Education & Experience

  • Ph.D. in an engineering or science discipline with preference in microsystems and micro-fabrication approaches, M.S. with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Experience in production support, process development, and project management skills.
  • Experience in a highly regulated field of engineering in medical devices is an advantage.
