Position Summary

The Nestlé Product Technology Centre in Orbe is the leading Nestlé Coffee, Beverages and Cereals Competence Centre that develops products, production processes and delivery systems for in-home and out-of-home consumption. The coffee department is the center of competence for coffee technology and provides major activities on process and product development, renovation, and innovation in all major areas of Nestlé's coffee.

To complete our Science Beverage department based in Orbe, we are currently looking for a Food physics scientist.

A day in the life of a Junior R&D Food Scientist
  • Monitor key chemical parameters of coffee-based products with NIR/NMR methods
  • Create and maintain scientific database and reports related to coffee-based products
  • Develop new user-friendly interface to access quality and regulatory data
  • Ensure accurate and on-time scientific support to factories and R&D projects
  • Consolidate results in written format and efficiently communicate on scientific results to key stakeholders
What will make you successful
  • Master in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science or equivalent
  • Experience required in Power Bi data report creation and usage (Office 365)
  • Agile with digital tools
  • Solid knowledge in NIR and NMR as well as in chemical coffee characterization methods
  • Excellent team player, fast adapter and well-organized
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
