Finders are working on this as the sole head-hunter and we know our client very well.  

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced area sales manager from vendor financing to join a small, close-knit team in Switzerland as part of a large, global brand.  This could be just the fresh challenge you've been looking for that can offer a rewarding and autonomous role as part of a collegial team. 

As part of a leading bank's global leasing solutions team, you will be working alongside one other area sales manager for this segment, and reporting to Reporting to the COO of Leasing Solutions.  Your role will be key in continuing to develop the Swiss vendor financing business for the construction, tools, transport and agriculture client segment.  (You can be based out of anywhere in Switzerland as you will work from home like all this Group's sales personnel, with strong support from the operations office).  Clients and dealers are spread across the German-speaking region primarily but also quite some clients in the Suisse-Romande which is also growing and where the headquarters of the leasing solutions business is based. 

As well as taking care of customers you will also be working closely with the dealers and developing new business and helping to grow the already existing business.  This will include having the necessary conversations with customers at a sophisticated level and being able to closely communicate with heads of sales and team heads, working closely with other members of the Leasing group to coordinate as regards documentation and operations. 

Your tasks will include but not limited to:
  • Close and widespread contact in a sales, business development and advisory capacity with the Partners within the assigned area of construction, transport, tools and agriculture as regards leasing and vendor finance
  • Credit and loan conversations with Clients (as well as working closely with and visiting manufacturers, dealers, partners) in line with the internal guidelines of the Group
  • Working closely with the Operations team in terms of giving support for documentation and legal
  • Business development and distribution strategy, as well as financing products - presenting these to Partners (global large names as well as some smaller ones across Switzerland)
  • Acquiring of market and competition information and working closely with Head of Sales
  • Regulation and prioritising of financing requests in coordination with other internal departments 

Profile:
  • Minimum 4 years'+  relevant sales work experience
  • Sales/hunter experience from banking/financial services, agriculture or construction for example
  • Some understanding of vendor finance is a plus but not a must
  • Proven sales aptitude and comfortable around sophisticated clients - you are  hungry and active - wanting to look for new clients/do acquisition etc. 
  • This is a "home office" job with travel "on the road" to clients and dealers so you can live anywhere in Switzerland
  • A Swiss-German native is essential, as well as business English; French a plus but not a must
  • Good knowledge in finance and the basics of commercial banking preferred (to include basic product knowledge if possible) but not essential
  • Able to persuade and assert oneself, communicating at all levels/with all walks of life
  • Able to analyse and conceptualise + present
  • Happy to travel on a regular basis and be "on the road"; therefore, a role that is potentially suitable for candidates living in any part of Switzerland but a preference for those living today in Central Switzerland (Olten, Bern, Basel, Solothurn, St Gallen) OR of course the Zurich area are very much encouraged to apply
  • Full clean driving licence essential
  • Already resident in Switzerland with valid Swiss work permit
