The Life Technologies team of the School of Engineering of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis is looking for a

Position description

The Academic Associate will work in the Biotechnology and Sustainable Chemistry research group and participate in collaborative projects with partners from the biotech industry and academia. They will use their expert knowledge to generate innovative solutions that digitalize and automate workflows in upstream and downstream bioprocess development.

Requirements

Applicants should hold an advanced degree (PhD) in biotechnology or have 3 years’ work experience in a relevant industrial environment. They should also have experience in the development and characterization of bioprocesses, experimental design, numerical data analysis and process modelling across scales. Extensive knowledge and comprehension of process data architectures, data handling and analytical tools for bioprocess development are highly desired.

Contract:           fixed-term 1-year contract (possibility to extend for another year)

Employment:     100 %

Place of work:   Sion (Energypolis campus)
