This is an amazing opportunity to join the Medical Scientific Liaison team at GSK Switzerland, within the Specialty and Respiratory Care Business Unit. It is an exciting time to join a forward thinking, field-based medical team, in which you will lead the science around the use of a biologic medicine in the field of severe asthma and other eosinophilic diseases.

As the MSL for West Switzerland (including Ticino) you will be responsible for scientific and medical engagement with top experts in this field, bringing to life new data and the latest science for GSK medicines. Through this position you will become an expert in the medicine and disease area alongside a developing an understanding of medical affairs and clinical development. This position is field based providing also flexibility for home-office work.

Medical Scientific Liaison Romandie/Ticino Region of Switzerland (80% - 100% Position)

Key Responsibilities
  • Working cross-functionally to map out key opinion leaders/external experts in the therapy  areas (pulmonology, allergology, rheumatology, immunology, otolaryngology) and developing robust medical engagement plans.
  • Connecting external experts with key internal stakeholders to foster scientific collaboration and ensure a strong medical and scientific presence in key academic centers by supporting educational initiatives.
  • Conducting peer-to-peer, robust scientific dialogue with external experts and using opportunities to generate insights, communicating these within GSK.
  • Responding to medical information enquiries to ensure appropriate use of GSK medicines.
  • Deliver scientific presentations to physicians, individually or in groups (meetings, clinical sessions…), where requested.
  • Supporting clinical development activities in your therapy area and engage in discussions concerning research project proposals.
  • Attendance at national and international scientific meetings to engage experts on the science.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local and global laws, regulations, guidelines and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Formal education in a scientific or healthcare field.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of clinical research methods.
  • Fluency in French with good knowledge of English; speaking German or Italian would be a plus.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Healthcare professional or PhD
  • Previous experience in a Medical Science Liaison or similar position
  • Experience in respiratory or other specialised medicines
