Group Infrastructure & Security Manager

The Metalor Group has 3 business units, each corresponding to a group of specific markets: Refining, Electrotechnics and Advanced Coatings.

Based at our sites in Marin, we are currently looking for a:

Group Infrastructure & Security Manager

Reporting to the Global IT Manager, this role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with a strong expertise in infrastructure and cybersecurity, looking to take ownership of critical IT environments within a dynamic and supportive organization.

You will play a key role in designing, operating, and securing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems and networks. The position involves leading infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives, supporting business operations through robust and resilient IT services, and driving continuous improvements across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Infrastructure Operations & Management

  • Oversee the entire IT infrastructure landscape, including systems, networks, servers, storage, and virtualization
  • Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and continuous improvement of environments (on-premises, cloud, and hybrid)
  • Lead infrastructure evolution projects (network modernization, server consolidation, etc.)
  • Manage capacity planning, monitoring, and service continuity
  • Define, implement, and maintain infrastructure standards and best practices

Cybersecurity Leadership

  • Define and implement the company’s cybersecurity strategy
  • Ensure protection of data, systems, and applications
  • Deploy and maintain security tools such as firewalls, SOC, MFA, PAM, backups, encryption, etc.
  • Supervise security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments
  • Manage security incidents and coodinate response efforts (internal and external)

Management and Coordination

  • Lead and manage the infrastructure and security team
  • Define team objectives, training plans, and career development
  • Coordinate external vendors and service providers
  • Collaborate with other IT teams (ERP, Applications) and business departments

Governance, Documentation, and Reporting

  • Implement IT policies, procedures, and standards (security, access mgmt, backups, etc.)
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation
  • Contribute to IT budget planning and manage operational and capital expenditures

Expert-Level Support

  • Provide level 3/4 support for critical systems
  • Assist in diagnosing complex incidents and manage escalation to partners when required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes

Technology Strategy and Innovation

  • Monitor technology trends (cloud, zero trust, AI in security, etc.)
  • Evaluate new solutions and propose improvements
  • Anticipate technological impacts on business operations and security

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure (systems, networks, virtualization, storage)
  • Proven experience managing hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
  • Strong hands-on expertise in cybersecurity (security architecture, controls, incident response)
  • Experience leading infrastructure transformation projects (modernization, consolidation, cloud adoption)
  • Solid knowledge of security tools and practices (firewalls, SOC/SIEM, MFA, PAM, backups, encryption)
  • Experience managing and developing technical teams
  • Ability to provide Level 3/4 support on critical infrastructure and security issues
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
