Junior Reporting Analyst

The position is embedded in the Underwriting Management Information team that is part of the Underwriting Operations. The team provides a centralized and standardized reporting framework to Non-Life Underwriting Business Units and Underwriting Operations.
In this role you will be in between business/operations and IT, analyze and understand the business needs for reporting and translate them to a specification for IT. With the support of IT you will work on services that provides efficient and effective data information out of the PartnerRe system. In more detail the main tasks are to:
Analyze and test the system, data structure, reports and methodology changes
Review, evaluate and prioritize change requests in the context of worldwide solutions
Asses and understand reporting needs and translate into reporting specification for IT, which includes development and maintenance of standardized reports
Develop customized ad-hoc reports
Timely and accurate report delivery to underwriting and underwriting operations on a worldwide basis
Communicate effectively incl. providing training to Business Unit Analysts, Underwriters and Operations
You have completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent education with 3-5 years work experience as business analyst in financial industry, ideally in Insurance or Reinsurance.
Alternatively you have or are in the process of acquiring a university degree in an analytical field such as Business Information Technology (Wirtschaftsinformatik) with up to 5 years work experience.
You have strong analytical skills for business processes and data relationships.
As a good listener, you understand and translate business reporting needs into logical and easy-to-read solutions.
To be a successful candidate you enjoy communicating, collaborating with internal clients and you can demonstrate your problem solving skills in proficient English.
For permit reasons, you are a local candidate with either a Swiss citizenship, or you possess a Swiss working permit that allows you to change employer without sponsorship.
Last but not least, as a motivated, reliable and adaptable team player, you wish to proactively contribute to enhancing solutions.
