At PartnerRe, we write group and individual protection business both in short and long-term lines, and offer capital/solvency oriented reinsurance solutions.
In this role, you will be a key member of our regional market team, and will be expected to contribute substantially to the development and profitable growth of PartnerRe’s Life reinsurance business.
This is a client facing role, and you will be responsible for:
Maintaining our current contact base and fostering our key client relationships;
Growing our client network by developing new relationships;
Monitoring market developments, uncovering and prioritizing business opportunities; and
Presenting to clients and industry bodies (e.g. conferences, client meetings, etc.).
In addition to representing PartnerRe externally, you will also be responsible for your business and clients internally by:
Coordinating all resources that are needed to win/retain and implement business (i.e. close involvement in actuarial analysis, deal underwriting, evaluation and approval);
Ensuring that existing business runs smoothly with regard to compliance, treaty set up, administration, underwriting and claims interactions and financial reporting; and
Developing expertise and knowledge of team colleagues.
By working closely with the Market Head, you will be in a dedicated business development team of pricing actuaries, medical underwriters and product and legal experts. With PartnerRe striving for growth in Life and Health, you will also have access to, and possibly give support for, markets and propositions outside of your core responsibilities.

You are bringing along the following experience/profile:
At least 7 years’ experience in life insurance/reinsurance, ideally in a business development role where you will have established a network of contacts;
Good knowledge of the NCE European markets and understanding of key industry issues and trends;
Experience in reinsurance structuring, pricing and/or negotiating reinsurance transactions would be desirable;
Expertise and proven experience in Solvency II, SST, financial accounting and general risk management involving reinsurance;
Ideally a qualified Life Actuary (SAV/DAV/FIA or equivalent), but this is not a must; and
Good communication skills, fluent in English, and preferably proficient in another language within NCE Europe.
