At Nestlé Research Orbe, near Lausanne / Switzerland, we develop new products and processes supporting Nestlé Infant Cereals worldwide. In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories around the world.

We are currently looking for a Associate Product Development Specialist Infant Cereals that will mainly drive in close collaboration with experienced product developers infant cereals initiatives with a high impact on the business and lead product and process development projects or part of the projects. You will also interact proactively with the other functions, Nestlé Research Orbe, Business Nutrition (R&D, commercial, operations) and the market functions (commercial, operations and Application Groups) to ensure the overall project objectives.
Drive in collaboration with experienced product developers the product and process development of B-Nutrition Infant Cereal R&D projects from concept to industrial scale and deliver product(s)/process(es) solution(s)at defined quality, time and costs
Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by considering the overall context of this project within the business strategy and Science & Technology Roadmap
Control scope changes through effective alignment and proactive, open communication with stakeholders
Drive nutrition-based technology development and deliver innovative cereal-based product/process solutions to support the long term Infant Cereals pipeline
Provide technical assistance to Nestlé Nutrition, markets and factories
Ensure adequate resource allocation and competences, interact pro-actively with different functions within the Infant Cereals team, Nestlé Research Orbe, Business Nutrition business (R&D, operations, commercial), market (technical/ Application Groups, commercial) and external partners to ensure delivery on overall project objectives
Facilitate and coach within the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, across R&D Units, Business Nutrition and with external partners, e.g. suppliers
Manage among stakeholders, negotiate with Nestlé decision makers and business partners
Education and experience
MSc or PhD in Food Technology or related field
1st experience in Product Development
Experience in R&D, technical operational function to drive and support experimental and trial based product & process development and industrialization
Strongly team oriented
Ability to lead and drive initiatives and solve problems
Proven communication skills
