The one thing they all have in common is that they seek to challenge the status quo, are imaginative and have the ability to offer a fresh perspective.YOUR MISSION:Key Strategic Initiatives - assist the GCCO (Group Chief Compliance Officer) in planning strategic priorities including development of the Compliance IT platform, other business objectives, cost savings, etc. Support the communication of these priorities within the department and the broader Group. In conjunction with the GCCO, design and drive the completion of the Compliance Annual Strategy document;Projects - oversee progress on key Compliance projects (IT and non-IT) to manage their resource prioritisation, ensure effective delivery (within time and budget) and that expected benefits are realised. Represent the Compliance Unit on other Group-wide projects / working groups, as appropriate;Business Management - support the GCCO in establishing and maintaining effective compliance processes, including good internal governance, follow up of action points. Work with compliance specialists globally to ensure progress tracking, presentations / internal communication. Work with other Business Risk Manager roles within Group Compliance to ensure the department complies with Business Continuity, Risk, Logistics and HR internal guidelines;Budget - manage the Group Compliance budget, represent Compliance in the budgeting / forecasting process and manage / control costs for Compliance globally. Work with Procurement on supplier reviews as required;Unit Coordination and Information - ensure good information flow within and to/from the Unit, including supplying content for intranet articles, internal Townhalls and Offsites. Support the GCCO with the development of presentations to senior management and other committees, as required. Build strong relationships with the Regional Compliance heads and their respective teams;People - work with the GCCO and directly with HR Business Partner team on training and hiring of staff.DESIRED PROFILE:Bachelor degree or higher;Experience of working with global Wealth Management organisations across a broad range of strategy and business transformation programmes and regulatory change driven initiatives;Extensive Operational experience ideally within the private banking/wealth management sector;Track record of working with a range of stakeholders on multi-faceted programmes and projects;Strong business experience and product/process knowledge ;Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment and continually reprioritize to focus on the key issues/topics;Strong background in IT and a sound understanding of strategy;Excellent people and team building skills - must be able to work collaboratively with managers, peers and staff;Fluent in French and English;Resident in Switzerland.This is a high profile role within the Compliance Team globally but also more broadly across the Lombard Odier Group. It is visible to the Managing and Limited Partners of the Group and requires the appropriate level of experience dealing with and presenting to senior management. The candidate needs to be flexible, innovative and strong at delivery. The COO will be expected to act as alternate for the GCCO where necessary and feel comfortable driving project agendas and deadlines. The role is wide-ranging, covering multiple disciplines with the Compliance space and more broadly across the Private Bank and Investment Business - this makes it varied, challenging and rewarding.If you recognise yourself in this description, then please do apply.
