Program Manager


The Program Manager (PM) takes the lead of development and industrialization of projects for IMI Hydronic Engineering in an international environment. The position is to deliver agreed output (objectives) of the project in accordance with requirements of timing, cost and quality.

Main accountabilities

  • Defining and sharpening scope of project, together with stakeholders
  • Define project goals, deliverables, project tasks and priorities
  • Establish solid, clear project organization, with defining resources requirements and ownership for project tasks to team members
  • Take leadership, ownership and accountability of the resources assigned to the project
  • Define and produce risks map of the project and manage risks accordingly
  • Communication of project requirements to appropriate team members, and manage each requirement accordingly in order to realize them
  • Establish and officialise robust project time plan following APQP
  • Define reporting scheme of the project up and downwards, between external parties and company and also inside IMI Hydronic Engineering
  • Regularly report status and deviations in the project to interested parties & prepare project presentations, to be reported to senior management
  • Ensure the deadlines of the project are met – in case of any deviation, escalate to appropriate department manager or to top management
  • Ensure that objectives of cost, time and quality are met accordingly with the specification and project targets
  • Closely monitor project budget and ensure that there is no overspending
  • Track and record changes in project and assess results
  • Drive process of product industrialization, by direct interaction with production, marketing, Hydronic College and sales organization
  • Evaluate and manage work performance of project team members. Ensure that people from project team are motivated and aware of company expectations
  • Collaborate with all involved departments, drive the team towards ultimate goal, and support company with clear communication across the whole organization through whole project life
  • Support maturing of Project Management and follow methodologies, standards and procedures of IMI Hydronic Engineering


Experience, qualification and education

  • Bachelor or Master Degree, preferable in management or technical field. Project Management education is an asset   
  • Qualification in project management – minimum 3 years of experience in managing projects  
  • Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of managing projects  
  • Experience with planning  
  • Experience in engineering
  • Experience in managing people
  • Experience in risk management
  • Experience in change management
  • Ability to travel worldwide (10 – 20% of time)
