As an entry-level position we are looking for



Life Sciences Engineer/Scientist

for a permanent position starting with a training period with the possibility to develop industrial competence and skills in a stimulating learning environment.


Your mission

You will be trained to execute projects and to participate in the development of cell-based assays and disease models using a novel hydrogel.

Following a successful traineeship you will have a strong understanding of QGel life sciences applications and as full-time employee you will take part in the planning and execution of activities within the company.

Yours tasks

Execute cell-based experiments and screening assays in the QGel laboratory
Analyse data and prepare reports according to directives set by your manager
Interpret scientific results and present to supervisors and/or colleagues
Assist in maintaining the functionality of the laboratory
Assist in operational activities of the lab and follow safety protocols


Your profile

University level PhD in life sciences bioengineering biology biochemistry
Relevant experience in cancer research
Experience in different in vitro and/or in vivo cell culture techniques
Experience in cell culture methods cell lines and primary cell handling
Excellent organizational skills reliable and disciplined in task execution
Ability to be hands-on and pragmatic
Solution oriented when solving problems
Organised and methodical
Flexible with the ability to adapt to rapid change
Working knowledge of written and spoken English
Previous experience is not required but lab experience in an industrial setting would be a plus
