Avionics Airworthiness Engineer 100 % (m/f)
Your core responsibility in this challenging position is the independent verification of the compliance substantiation documentation. For this task you directly report to the Director of the Airworthiness Department. Within his team you create and review certifications and issue certification relevant documents and plans. For assigned projects on certification matters you act as point of contact for Project Leaders and Authorities. When it comes to e.g. aircraft ground tests you witness the testing within your scope of authorization. You coordinate on assigned projects with the certification authorities and project related technical and certification matters.
You will have a University degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. It is indispensable to have for this role extensive experience as an avionics CVE in a Part 21J organization and a strong background and proven track record in avionics and/or aircraft modifications. Your knowledge of EASA Part 21 Subpart J (DOA) requirements, EASA certification processes and a good understanding of EASA Certification Specifications such as CS-23, CS-27, CS-29 is important for this responsibility. Your deep understanding of S/W and complex electronics H/W certification (in accordance with DO-178 and DO-254) are attributes you should possess. Very good English language skills (C1) and satisfactory knowledge of German language (B1) are mandatory.
