For our client a medical device company we are looking for an Senior R D project manager GENERAL SUMMARY


The role of the Project Manager is to plan execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines within budget and ensuring the project performance/specification is met. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The project Manager makes regular project presentations to management and escalates when issues arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES


bull Manage projects for the development of new products from the feasibility studies until completion of the entire design process.
bull Assist the Product Management in defining the project objectives for new product development.
bull Plan and budget the new product development according to project objectives.
bull Monitor and follow up on project budgets and schedules.
bull Carry out and follow up on development of new products in accordance with our client standard procedures and particularly the Design Control procedure.
bull Lead and coordinate the project team in order to reach the project objectives including technical achievements quality costs/budget and schedule.
bull Initiate and participate in the decision-making within the project team and eventually force decisions in order to reach the project objectives.
bull Prepare and facilitate decision-making with the review committees.

For customer specific projects

bull Discuss specifications feasibility and costs and manage integration with customers.

OUTPUT PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

bull Manages project cost schedule and performance for each project
bull Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
bull Detailed project and resource plan available at project start

INTERACTIONS


Frequently interacts with management. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules.

REQUIREMENTS



5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within a medical device company
Engineer EPF/HES in micromechanics mechanics or equivalent
Excellent organizational planning and time management skills
Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
Great attention to detail
Good communication and negotiation skills
Understanding of budget control
The ability to work well with others and lead a team
A good understanding of business
Technical skills relevant to the project
Good IT skills
Excellent redaction skills in English and French.
