Essential duties and responsabilitiesRoutine activities Providing technical support for automated system usersSupporting the automation on Call 24/7 organizationSupporting the user or service groups with expertise and resources if requiredUpdated with the current good Engineering practicesPlans assess executes and reviews interventions on existing systemsProviding support and expertise for optimizing PCS and special equipmentCalm and able to work under pressureWorking with multi-disciplinary teams Supporting technical aspects of a Change Control related to AutomationWorking closely with the Change Control owner to implement automation requirementsReviewing the user requirements together with the user and site EngineersPreparing cost estimations/calculations for the technical modificationsPreparing the final technical documentationReview and approval of PCS execution documentationProviding technical solutions that are technically appropriate meeting user requirements and are economically reasonableIdentify and understand user requirements for modificationsFind appropriate solutions to meet the user requirements from technical as well as economical point of viewIdentify priorities in collaboration with superior and userBe aware of the current state of the art in the field of automation technologies and GAMPChallenge oriented able to work autonomouslyEducation Experience Automation and/or electronic technical degree or equivalentPreferably 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical/chemical/food industryExperience in automation programming Rockwell PLC5 Control Logix Siemens STEP7 Knowledge of supervision software iFIX Visual Basic code experienceGood experience with the Microsoft toolsWorking Environment Flexible working time framework 40 hours per week On call 24/7 support approximately 5 to 6 weeks per year Living our leadership behaviors is a basic expectation for all Shire employees.
