The Regional Senior Manager, Network Services leads the design and maintenance of CSL’s communications’ network infrastructure using the latest technologies, develops internal processes for the deployment of these technologies, while providing leadership to our technical staff on a regional level. Works in a team environment to develop and manage our Voice, Video, Data Network and internet services focusing on reliability, performance and security. Management of annual capital and operating budgets and assures fiscal responsibility and accountability. Contributes to the design, evolution and optimization of CSL’s global network. Continually evaluate CSL’s network to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance customer experience. Strategic planning of network evolution with regards to current and future technologies. Keen focus on network performance and staff performance leading to the highest quality customer experience. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Manage a diverse regional team of network engineers that provide internal support to CSL
  • Act as a thought leader on trending technologies and provide a scalable roadmap on implementing and evaluating current and new network technologies
  • Manage all levels of support for implementations and operations for networks and communication systems
  • Develop, support and communicate network engineering policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Provide oversight on multiple projects at any given time and be able to handle pressing project deadlines; monitor projects – evaluating progress, quality and managing issue resolution when necessary
  • Develop strategies and support plans to consistently exceed service levels in a highly dynamic and changing environment; proactively identify any gaps and propose mitigation plans
  • Support effective problem management processes to identify and proactively remediate incident trends
  • Recommend, implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve the performance, scalability and security of the network
  • Work across the organization to implement optimization, documentation and automation to increase overall team and organizational productivity
  • Work with primary stakeholders to determine business needs and deliver against these expectations
  • Leadership – act as an advocate for change, influence thought leadership amongst peers and inspire your team; grow the expertise and advance the careers of team members by managing exposure to new projects and proactively identify opportunities for growth
  • Capability to easily change priorities as the business dictates
  • Provide off-hours escalation and management
  • Contribute to annual capital and O&M budget
  • Ensure all areas of responsibility are operating to the highest quality standards and are in compliance with CSL’s regulatory requirements
  • Manages the networking team including managing employee performance by evaluating employee performance and coaching and mentoring staff
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years combined networking, security and telecommunications experience; five of those years must include direct supervisory and/or management experience
  • Extensive experience in designing, deploying and managing global MPLS networks utilizing Cisco infrastructure devices
  • Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) required. Certified Cisco Design Professional (CCDP) desired
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of management, technical, and other staff
  • Excellent communications (written, verbal, presentation, negotiation), project management, and human relations skills
  • Ability to travel as needed both domestically and internationally
  • Working knowledge of GxP regulations and related frameworks (GAMP 5) is preferred
  • Must have managed managers and led a team of at least 10 IT professionals
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement contract knowledge
  • At least 3 years of successful leadership managing an infrastructure team
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Experience in managing global infrastructure or operations
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Demonstrated experience in building strong, effective organizations
  • Ability to effectively manage teams, build cohesion, and execute on deliverables in a timely fashion
