Product Manager / Deputy Head of Product Management - Electronic Equipment (m/f)

Your tasks and responsibilities:


In this role you will take ownership of the product portfolio and manage the strategy and lifecycle of product systems (hardware, software, services) from idea to phase-out. You will monitor and address changes within the product's context with the relevant stakeholders, like applications, users, buyers, competitors, technologies and regulatory standards. You will contribute to product success and company growth by incrementally and iteratively designing, developing and validating differentiated value propositions and business models, while focusing on customer value through the complete offering. To do so, you will frequently engage in the markets on customer discovery and validation ("go where the action is"), translate insights into requirements and specifications, scope and prioritize relevant features, communicate product-related knowledge and decision-making information to stakeholders. You will prepare and accompany the launch of the product by providing relevant documentation, training, and clarifications to global sales. And, acting as the "CEO of the product", you will drive awareness, evaluation, adoption and growth by shaping marketing strategy and evangelizing the product over appropriate channels - such as trade fairs, conferences, and social media. In absence of the Head PM or for certain projects you take over the responsibilities as a Deputy.


Your background:


A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or similar is required here. Additionally, you should have a broad business/marketing knowledge and at least 3 years of product management experience that should have provided you with strong business acumen and a set of methods and tools to support exploration, decision-making, and execution. Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as resilience in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity distinguish you. You must have experience in applying modern product management processes incl. business model innovation, digital offerings, agile approaches in product development, Lean thinking, etc. You will be travelling up to 20 - 40 %, the corporate language is English and any further language skills are beneficial.
