The Tissue Engineering Group at the Department of Biomedicine (DBM) in the University Hospital of Basel in Switzerland (USB) is currently seeking an Administrative Project Manager (60%, flexible) for the ongoing coordination of the BIO-CHIP research project funded by the European Commission within the framework of the H2020 Programme. Position immediately available.
Administrative Project Manager
Ensuring contractual obligations of the grant agreement are met, including communication with the EU Commission and continual update of the Participant Portal
Ensuring contractual obligations with SERI are met and liaison with the University on grant matters
Communication with international and national partners (including support in case of reporting and financial questions from partners and acting as the hub between partners and the Commission)
Updating partners and coordinator in case of new guidelines and information from EU
Organization, attendance and writing of minutes from project meetings
Compile and edit scientific reports and submit to the EU
Ensuring financial reports of all partners are complete and according to EU rules
Supervision of the budget/costs for USB, liaison with the University's financial officer and submission of financial reports to SERI
Maintenance and updating of content of project website
Ensuring communication and dissemination activities are approved and maintaining activity spreadsheet
Ensure staff timesheets are accurately completed and filed
Possible extension to lab management tasks
Your profile We are looking for a team player with excellent organization and communication skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines. You are a flexible person used to working independently and proactively on challenging tasks. Fluent English and German in written and oral communication is required due to the international nature of the Consortium and research group. Flexibility in working time is necessary to attend Consortium meetings (minimum of 2-day meetings, twice a year), ensure project deadlines are met, particularly periodic reporting, and timely communication. Proven experience in project management (preferably in the Coordination of an EU-Project) is required. Scientific background and/or experience in finance is an advantage.
