W ith a good theoretical background and previous measur ing experience in a laboratory within R&D group, you will report to the Manager of the magnetic design team. In addition, you will be ask ed to: ? Design a test setup, define a test plan: m easurement equipment and sensors knowledge in order to select the right tools for a given task, understand reliability an d precision (bandwidth, resolution, propagation of uncertainty), implement sensor interfacing ? Support troubleshooting of defects/malfunctions ? Supervise laboratory assets (equipment maintenance, measuring equipment calibration, tools, cables) and be familiar with the latest test equipment technology Your qualifications ? University Degree ( PhD or Master ) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent ? At least 4 years of experience in a similar position ? Proficiency with technical English, excellent technical report redaction and good presentation skills ? Scientific background (electromagnetism, electronics, thermodynamics, materials science) with a strong focus on experimenta l aspects ("hands - on" interest) ? Background in electrical motors and m otor control as an asset ? Test and measurement skills. ? Knowledge of laboratory acquisition means: National I nstruments, LabVIEW as an asset ? Analog and digital electronics fundamentals (Filtering, Bode diagrams, shielding, FFT analys is, analog - digital con version...) ? Electrical testing and safety skills. H andling AC and DC high - voltage ? Object - oriented programming (ideally MATLAB). Software architecture / UML knowledge an asset. Graphical user interface (GUI) skills an asset ? Mathematical analysis and statistic s skills (complex analysis, model - fitting, correlation, pareto analysis...). ?
