ID Quantique (IDQ) is looking for



to join the Research and Development department to help bring to life the next generation in cutting-edge technologies. Work side by side with a talented team of Physicists, Software Developers and Engineers to design and develop innovative solutions for complex electronic systems as part of the next generation of ID Quantiques product lines in the Quantum Sensing and Quantum Key Distribution portfolios.

The ideal candidate is capable of taking initiative to drive projects and quickly solve technical problems by drawing from a proven track record of past experience in development projects. As a forward looking problem solver, you will be able to deliver creative solutions in a collaborative way to support the on-going R&D projects and the product development roadmap.



 Responsibilities :


  • Design and development of complex electronic systems (High-Speed digital > 1 GHz, weak analogue signals, EMC, FPGA, etc.)

  • System architecture definition and documentation: design descriptions and specifications documents

  • 3D CAD modeling and PCB layouts

  • Component selection and BOM management

  • Industrialization: responsible for the Assembly, Integration and Testing of the design for validation followed by the transfer to production.

  • Quality Assurance: responsible for following and implementing best in practice quality assurance procedures and methodologies for design documentation, procedures and traceability.

Profile:



  • Bachelor of Science, Masters or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of working experience

  • English fluent, french would be a plus

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and hardware engineering with a proven experience: 3D CAD, create 2D manufacturing DWGs, PCB layouts, advanced hardware components knowledge, material properties knowledge, etc.

  • Experience with CADSTAR a plus

  • Experience with CE/UL certification a plus

  • Detail oriented

  • Autonomous and capable of working in a dynamic environment, alone or within a team
