The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Beverage in Orbe is the leading Nestlé Coffee and Beverages Competence Centre that develops products and production processes for in-home and out-of-home consumption. The product category departments consists of units in Konolfingen, Marysville, Orbe and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide. They are the owner of the science and technology roadmaps that helps us create winning innovation pipelines for coffee.

A Bit About the Role
To complete our Ideation & Consumer Connection team in Orbe we are looking to recruit a Front End Innovation Specialist to lead the Ideation & Concept Generation team. Ideally you have 10 or more years professional experience with at least 5 years specializing in innovation and a history of managing a diverse but high performing team. With these skills you will be well equipped to help guide the future direction of our innovation.
Establish, lead & develop a team of direct reports who successfully deliver all front end innovation activities primarily associated with the "identify" phase.
Front end innovation activities include; strategic workshop planning, ideation facilitation, concept writing and product & packaging prototyping
Collaborate with the Global Brand teams to develop effective briefs that clearly define I&R deliverables to which the team are held accountable
Identify the appropriate ideation approach according to the defined success criteria & agree the consumer learning plan with the consumer and sensory insight colleagues.
Facilitate the translation of consumer insights/Opportunity Areas into holistic solutions and winning propositions.
Facilitate a team approach to early concept evaluation for desirability, feasibility & viability
Ensure successful concepts from FEI progress into the I&R pipelines with agreed launch dates
Ensure the 3 year I&R pipelines are sufficiently replenished with ideas which meet the commercial targets & are used to influence the Science & Technology roadmaps
Offer "Front End Innovation" functional support to satellite teams in Singapore & Marysville as required
Connect, exchange and build new FEI best practices with internal & external networks
Continuously identify & action improvement opportunities within the ICG team, people, process, environment, tools & equipment
>10 years professional experience ideally a blend of commercial (brand management), R&D & creative fields which have enabled you to specialize in I&R for at least 5 years.
Comfortable at strategic & operational levels
Equally comfortable collaborating with commercial or R&D colleagues.
Exceptional at planning & facilitation of ideation workshops
Highly capable of concept development, writing & refining
Exceptional communication at all levels with high levels of influence & persuasion
Experience of line management & development of "creatives" colleagues (including designers, Master Barista & innovation managers)
Fluent in English, verbal & written.
