To ensure the growth of SamanTree Medical, we are looking for:
Data Scientist, Lausanne (Switzerland)
In the R&D department, we are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. You will contribute to the development of digital products and extract meaningful insights from complex datasets, making them available to relevant teams to support data-driven decision-making and operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Developing deep sector-specific data expertise in confocal microscopy images, to actively contribute to data annotation activities and coordinate outsourced image annotation workflows
- Selecting, organizing, managing, and preserving data to ensure its long-term value and accessibility for specific users or purposes
- Interacting with colleagues from a cross-functional team on various data-related projects for understanding the needs for technical data solutions, defining solutions concepts and design, providing training and retrieving feedback.
- Collaborating closely to the development of data analytics based components under design control, in accordance with ISO 13485 and FDA Quality System Regulations.
- Conducting feasibility and proof-of-concept projects to further improve and standardize the performances, usability and adoption of SamanTree Medical’s products
- Performing technical reviews and contributing to the development of test procedures of existing data processes
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- You are attentive to details and committed to maintaining data accuracy and quality.
- You have experience in applying data science techniques to solve real-world problems, preferably on images. 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position is a plus.
- At least one of the following applies to you :
* You have a strong interest in data visualization and enjoy transforming data into clear, compelling visuals
* You enjoy digging into databases of text and/or images until you find the answer to a complex data question
* You are enthusiastic about AI and machine learning and have experience with training models on images
- You are proficient in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- You are a strong team player with the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
- You communicate clearly and confidently in fluent English, both written and spoken; you communicate fluently in French (spoken).
