We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and globally experienced Head of Accreditations to lead and shape the quality assurance and accreditation strategy across our multi-campus Institution.

In this high-impact leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring our academic excellence is aligned with both Swiss and international standards, particularly focusing on Swiss institutional accreditation and NECHE. This role combines regulatory expertise, strategic coordination, and quality culture leadership, enabling our institution to thrive in a competitive global higher education environment.

Main Requirements:

  • Master's degree required; PhD preferred (in Higher Education, Quality Management, Educational Leadership, or a relevant field)
  • Formal training or certification in accreditation and quality assurance is a strong asset.
  • Proven familiarity with Swiss Higher Education legislation and NECHE standards
  • At least 8 years of experience in quality assurance, academic governance, or accreditation within international higher education
  • Successful track record in leading Swiss Accreditation Council and NECHE accreditation processes
  • Strong project management and cross-cultural coordination skills, especially in multi-campus or global education settings
  • Deep understanding of QA frameworks (Swiss HEdA, NECHE, EQAR, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory precision
  • Proficiency with QA tools and systems (e.g., SharePoint, data dashboards)
  • Fluent in English; other languages are an asset

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    Develop and lead an institution-wide accreditation and quality strategy that aligns with our mission and growth across all campuses.
  • Accreditation Management:
    Oversee all aspects of Swiss and NECHE institutional accreditation, from audit readiness and self-study coordination to site visits and post-review actions.
  • Quality Assurance Excellence:
    Ensure compliance with evolving academic and regulatory standards by implementing robust policies, governance structures, and data systems.
  • Global Coordination:
    Act as the central QA liaison across all campuses, harmonizing documentation, timelines, and institutional responses for quality and accreditation efforts.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Champion quality culture by implementing enhancement plans, defining KPIs, and managing academic risk assessments in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build trusted relationships with accreditation bodies, regulators, and internal governance, representing the institution with professionalism and authority.
  • Advisory & Capacity Building:
    Provide expert guidance and training to academic leaders and teams on best practices in accreditation and QA frameworks.
  • New Campus Development:
    Support the accreditation of future campuses, ensuring compliance from inception and guiding regulatory applications.
