Job description:

Our client is a well-established Telecommunication group based in Zurich.

On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for a Purchasing Desk Manager P2P to support purchase requisition and purchase order processing, ensure data quality and compliance with purchasing policies, and manage operational purchasing support across all spend channels.

Working closely with shared service centers and business units, you will own the purchasing help desk for requisitions, orders, and receipting issues, while playing a key role in driving end-to-end P2P process improvements measured by weekly KPIs.

This is a 3-month contract offered under a trial-to-hire model, with the intention to convert into a permanent role (after this is initial 3 months contract). The position requires immediate availability, with a firm start date of October 1, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure purchase requisitions (PRs) follow correct processes, using approved vendors and proper buy-pay channels, leveraging deep knowledge of SAP Ariba.
  • Support end users with vendor onboarding requests or process-related queries, validating needs before new vendor creation.
  • Safeguard system accuracy within S4 HANA and SAP Ariba (e.g., lead times, pricing, catalog content, payment terms) to enable smooth requisitioning.
  • Monitor and provide operational KPI data (delivery reliability, PO cycle times, supplier responsiveness, spend and invoice data, vendor master data).
  • Educate business units on compliance with the Spend Policy and collaborate with SSCs to flag/report recurring non-compliance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant P2P experience (e.g., Purchasing Agent, Procurement Specialist, or similar) with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ariba P2P suite, including Guided Buying.
  • Experience with SAP S4HANA (MM module essential; SD desirable).
  • Customer-oriented, improvement-focused mindset with strong compliance drive.
  • Ability to balance enforcement of standards with a collaborative, solution-driven approach.
  • Fluent in English, plus German at C1 level or above.
  • Available to start 1st of October
