Team Lead Local & Factory IT Switzerland (m/f/d)
The Team Lead Local & Factory IT Switzerland is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and delivering all local Swiss-specific IT services, with a specific focus on Infrastructure and Applications, primarily within the Factory in Baden. This role combines two main areas of responsibility: Infrastructure Management and Application Support and Development. The Team Lead Local & Factory IT Switzerland ensures the stable operation of IT infrastructure, including network, server infrastructure, data communications and end-user experience on the shop floor. Additionally, the role is responsible formaintainingstable operations and continuous development of factory applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Swiss Local & Factory IT team
- Manage operational costs and conduct financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base
- Support feasibility studies for upgrade projects, improvements, and conversions
- Monitor all relevant IT service (Infra & App) performance, implementing strategies to keep infrastructure and applications up to date
- Ensure compliance with hardware, softwareand cyber security standards in coordination with owners and stakeholders
- Engage in regular communications with executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end-users regarding infrastructure and application activities
- Own the Major Incident Management Process for the local scope
- Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs (non-standard workplace), operating systems, hardware, software and peripherals
- Provide end-user services for the shopfloor, including help desk support and technical assistancein operations critical cases
- Support local requirements of the factory and service centers
- Ensure optimal operation of factory systems, working closely with Application Owners, Application Managers, Cyber Securityand Infrastructure Specialists
- Ensure required services are provided by external service providers
- Provide input to factory applicationand local infrastructure roadmaps as part of the annual budget and IT/IS strategy cycle (3-year cycle)
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, and wireless implementations for the local scope
- Lead IT asset management, including component inventory maintenance and documentation
- Oversee the operation and further development of local data centers (DC1 & DC2)
- Manage local server hosting in partnership with external service providers
- Ensure the operation of the local network and implementation of security requirements
- Oversee the operation and development of the High-Performance Cluster "HPC Cluster"
Application Support and Development:
- Ensure the stable operation and continuous development of factory applications
- Collaborate with other application teams, including Catia/3DX support and others
- Contribute to the development of local factory/service center in system and investment projects
Your Background:
Formal Education & Certification:
- University degree or college diploma in computer science or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in English is essential
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence
- Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, with a track record of successful service level agreement accomplishments
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware
- Strong knowledge of current protocols and standards, including ITIL Process landscape
- Application support experience is a plus
- Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws, regulations and standards to company operations
