Senior Finance and Business Planning Manager

Job description:
  • Monitor and manage the consolidated budget, working closely with key stakeholders (e.g., IT, Finance).
  • Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and memos showing current and forecasted budget figures.
  • Support the annual budget cycle and ensure the accuracy of budget reports.
  • Deliver finance and budget management training to relevant teams.
  • Support contract managers with procurement-related processes (e.g., requisitions) and apply best practices.
  • Provide financial analysis to highlight risks and opportunities; recommend or facilitate budget reallocation when needed and approved.
  • Assist with selected tax administration tasks.
About the customer:

The Senior Finance and Business Planning Manager will oversee budget planning and monitoring, support contract management, and help drive departmental priorities and project coordination.

Start date: ASAP, latest February 2026

Duration: 24 months

Location: Basel (Hybrid)

Workload: 100%

Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or similar; professional finance/accounting certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum five years' experience in budgeting and finance (e.g., FP&A), including budget and resource coordination for projects.
  • Strong Excel skills and IT competency, with data entry or accounting systems.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Foundational knowledge or experience in financial markets.
