Value Chain Data Platform Project Specialist (m/f/d) (80-100%)

As a digitalization enthusiast, you will play a key role in driving data-driven transformation across our organization. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and scaling of a data platform, enabling high-impact use cases across the factory and extending into the supply side.

Your focus will be on establishing a robust data foundation—connecting systems, structuring data, and unlocking value through advanced analytics and digital solutions. In parallel, you will support strategic investment projects as a digital expert, contributing to topics such as automation, shopfloor systems, and higher-level control systems.

You will operate at the intersection of business, IT, and engineering—translating operational needs into scalable digital solutions. This includes working closely with stakeholders from shopfloor to top management, ensuring alignment, adoption, and sustainable value creation.

You will join the Supply & Value Chain Excellence business unit in Baden, reporting to the Team Lead Value Chain Digitalization, and collaborate closely with business leadership, IT, and technical experts across our global value chain.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive digital and data-driven initiatives across factory operations and supply chain, with a strong focus on delivery and business impact.

  • Take ownership for the planning, coordination, and successful execution of a cloud-based data platform in close collaboration with IT and technical experts.

  • Identify, structure, and prioritize high-value use cases (e.g., operational efficiency, predictive insights, supply chain transparency) and ensure their end-to-end implementation.

  • Act as a central interface between business, IT, and engineering, aligning requirements and ensuring pragmatic, scalable solutions.

  • Support factory investment projects (IPs) as a digital and data expert, especially in topics such as system integration, automation, and data availability.

  • Contribute to the definition and establishment of data governance, data quality standards, and best practices across the organization.

  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and coordinate their implementation with internal and external partners.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and foster a data-driven mindset across all levels of the organization.

Your background:

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing or leading digital, data, or IT-related projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Solid understanding of data platforms, data integration, and system landscapes (e.g., ERP, MES, shopfloor systems) – without the need to be a deep technical expert.

  • Experience or exposure to data governance, data quality, or data management concepts.

  • Strong ability to structure complex topics, define use cases, and drive implementation in cross-functional environments.

  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to understand technical concepts (e.g., SQL, data flows) and work closely with technical teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.

  • Fluency in English and conversational German required.

Your benefits:

  • Canteen

  • Childcare

  • Modern office, smart working

  • Flexible working model

  • Attractive holiday plan

  • Employee assistance program
