Interim Merchandise Lead D2C (all, 80-100%) - temporary from March 2026 until January 2027
In this role your are responsible for merchandise planning, monitoring and steering of our own E-Commerce, Marketplaces and monobrand stores in EMEA.

The ideal start date for this position would be in March 2026 or as soon as possible.

Do what you love
  • Collaborate with account management to create detailed revenue plans and conduct quantitative option planning for assortment width and depth
  • Own merchandise planning for defined channels and represent the function in review meetings (e.g. demand review, OTB, S&OP)
  • Translate sales budgets into a strategic top-down merchandise planning across relevant planning dimensions from GTM3 onwards
  • Develop and introduce merchandise planning tools and processes and allocate OTB to assortment buckets proactively, to achieve channel targets and avoid overspending (e.g. SMUs, Exclusives, full-/offprice, NOOS + portfolio classification)
  • Be accountable for performance-improving merchandise measures based on rolling KPI monitoring
  • Monitor active performance/stock steadily (In season OTB, sell out, margin etc.) to initiate stock allocation by instructing sales operation team
  • Cooperate with assortment and inventory management to ensure adequate OTB coverage, recognize overarching demand opportunities and maximize profit, turnover and inventory targets
  • Identify sales channel characteristics and appropriate clustering
  • Analyze size curve and create or update size splits per product group
  • Execute merchandise planning of promotions, Mid-Season Sales and of season sales, and define discounts on product level
  • Create and share assortment performance reports for trade meetings per channel
Play to your strengths
  • Bachelor or comparable education in Business Administration / Sports Management / Textile Management or in comparable fields
  • Min. 5 years of relevant work experience with broad understanding in Merchandise Planning or Sales / Channel Planning or comparably fields, preferably in the fashion / outdoor industry
  • Confident in collaborating with various departments and account management teams, demonstrating high social competence to convince stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of business performance drivers and retail KPIs
  • Comfortable owning budgets and performance targets
  • Pronounced sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines with motivation to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic environment
  • Structured and efficient way of working
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
  • Excellent use of Excel and experience with ERP, merchandise planning or reporting tools
