Business Development Manager – E-commerce AI
K2G is a Swiss AI company with deep expertise in data architecture and machine learning, originally built in the insurance industry.After nearly a decade of building advanced data systems for complex and regulated environments, we are now launching a new product line focused on AI-Agents for e-commerce businesses.Our platform leverages specialized AI agents to automate data cleansing, enrichment, reporting, and predictive analytics — enabling e-commerce teams to extract insights from massive datasets and make faster, smarter decisions.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive market expansion for K2G’s new AI-powered products for e-commerce businesses.
You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, generating qualified leads, and supporting enterprise sales of our AI data platform.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, placement and sales, helping K2G scale its presence across international e-commerce markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new market opportunities for K2G AI solutions within the e-commerce ecosystem
- Definition ICP and UCP
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new products and verticals
- Conduct market and competitive analysis
- Drive new business development and revenue growth for K2G’s AI-Agents for e-commerce
- Sales Kit elaboration together with marketing and sales team
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closing
- Conduct product presentations and demos for potential customers
Expected Results (First 6 Months)
First 30 Days
- Gain a deep understanding of K2G’s AI platform, products, and value proposition for e-commerce companies
- Identify priority target segments and ideal customer profiles (ICP)
- Build an initial pipeline of qualified prospects in the e-commerce ecosystem
- Conduct first discovery meetings with potential clients
3 Months
- Conduct multiple product demos and discovery meetings with potential clients
- Secure the first pilot projects or proof-of-concept engagements
- Sales Kit and Sales pipeline applied by Sales team
6 Months
- Close the first commercial deals with e-commerce clients
- Contribute to the go-to-market strategy for scaling the product across international markets
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years in business development / B2B SaaS sales
- Experience in e-commerce or martech
- Track record of closing enterprise deals
- Deep understanding of e-commerce operational workflows, daily routines, and pain points, and translate them into clear business opportunities for K2G solutions.
Skills
- Strong network in the e-commerce ecosystem (brands, platforms, agencies)
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions in business terms
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of e-commerce metrics (CLV, attribution, pricing optimization)
