Head Legal Corporate Centre (incl. M&A) and Regulatory
The Head Legal Corporate Centre and Regulatory is responsible for the management of non-Business Unit (BU) specific legal and regulatory risks, Corporate Functions' (CF) legal entities, responsible for M&A, Litigation, IT, Anti-trust, tracking and coordinating the implementation of new regulations and for managing interactions with regulators. The Head Legal Corporate Centre and Regulatory is also responsible for the management of an international team of legal professionals and the overall regulatory framework of the Group.
You report to the Group General Counsel and are a member of the Legal & Regulatory Leadership Team (LLT). You are also the lead legal adviser to the CF's Heads and Management Teams.
The Group accounts for 112 legal entities, of which 21 are regulated by financial regulators and/or national banks, including FINMA, SNB, CNMV and ESMA.
As Head Corporate Centre and Regulatory
- Act as legal expert in the areas of laws and regulations which are non-specific to the BUs: M&A, Litigation, IT, Anti-trust (CoE).
- Manage the CoE legal and regulatory risks in the BUs in coordination with the BU legal teams.
- Manage the CF legal entities, incl. corporate and regulatory filings, according to the framework set by the Governance team.
- Provide Group and non-Business Unit specific regulatory advice.
- Establish legal and regulatory standards and processes to ensure a globally coordinated and efficient handling of CoE and regulatory matters, to track and coordinate the implementation of new regulations which are of key relevance to SIX Group legal entities.
- Maintain an overview of key communications with regulators and national banks and prepare, accompany and follow-up on regulatory meetings to ensure the Group is consistent in its communication to regulators and national banks.
Participate in the review process of consultations led by the Public Affairs' team. - Adopt the Legal & Regulatory function (the Function) standards and processes.
- Manage an international team legal professionals.

As member of the LLT
- Actively participate in the management of SIX Group's material legal and regulatory risks and initiatives and in the setting, monitoring and continuous enhancement of SIX Group legal and regulatory framework.
- Work collaboratively with the members of the LLT to implement the Function's strategy and key initiatives.
- Act as a role model of SIX Values and the values of the legal profession and in particular: independence, impartiality and integrity. Coach others.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Promote the Function internally and externally, including by representing SIX in external events.
You are a qualified lawyer, ideally UK or EU qualified, with at least 15 years of experience in financial services and you started your career in a law firm, ideally in M&A. Non-qualified lawyers and Compliance professionals will not be considered.
You have experience in managing international teams of legal professionals.
You have experience in establishing standards and processes, you are very familiar with Sharepoint and promote LegalTech.
You have a strong command of Microsoft Office suite, can prepare Power Point presentations to an executive and board standard, you can draft complex legal analyses in English, and have excellent drafting skills.
You are recognized as a leader, with strong collaborative skills, an eye for details and pragmatism. You value simplicity over complexity. You value discretion and efficiency.
You can act as a change agent, demonstrate courage and a sense of urgency.
You are fluent in English. German and Spanish are a plus.
