Team Lead Metrology & Equipment Lifecycle (90-100%)

Our client is looking for someone who will shape end-to-end metrology processes to ensure compliant, efficient, and scalable laboratory operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing metrology team;
  • Own and drive the full equipment lifecycle: onboarding, qualification, maintenance, change management, and decommissioning;
  • Establish harmonized processes and documentation standards for equipment across all lab units;
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements across all metrology activities;
  • Coordinate with external service providers and key internal stakeholders (labs, QA, IT, procurement);
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of equipment management and calibration routines;
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections as the responsible metrology lead;
  • Monitor KPIs and resource planning to ensure effective, scalable team operations.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in engineering, life science, or a related field – alternatively, extensive practical experience in metrology or equipment lifecycle management may also qualify;
  • Proven experience in laboratory equipment lifecycle management;
  • Leadership experience, ideally in a matrix or cross-functional team setting;
  • Deep understanding of metrology processes, regulatory compliance, and quality systems;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach;
  • Very good English skills; German is an advantage.
