Machine Development Project Manager

Ecorobotix SA, a scale-up based at Y-Parc in Yverdon, Switzerland, creates innovative robotic solutions that reduce the negative ecological impact of modern agriculture. Our very high-precision targeted spraying technology, based on artificial intelligence, significantly reduces the amount of chemicals used in crop fields, while keeping costs competitive. This technology is deployed on our tractor-drawn ARA machine. Machine Development Project Manager

Your missions: 

  • Manage projects for the development of our robotics agricultural machines containing mechanical, hydraulics, fluidics, electro-mechanical, electrical and computer/control/sensors components.
  • Together with the CTO and the product managers, define the project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Specify, plan, and implement our product development project from concept, qualification, industrialization and production launch.
  • Define required resources for tasks and manage budgets
  • Create schedules and project timelines, track deliverables
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Identify project risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with external entities (sub-contractors, fabrication and assembly partners) with travels in Europe and outside Europe from time to time.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams while reporting directly to the CTO

Your profile: 

  • Master degree in micro engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering.
  • At least five years of proven experience as a project manager in a product development environment for large machine design containing mechanical, hydraulics, fluidics electro-mechanical and electrical components, such as industry machinery, agriculture or industrial vehicles, electrical vehicles, etc.
  • A project management qualification (PMI, PMP) or equivalent
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management
  • Comfortable with Agile/SCRUM methods
  • Fluent in technical english (oral and written B2/C1)

  • A strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to converse with a broad spectrum of personalities
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment
