General Manager TORMAX Distribution EMEA (m/w)

TORMAX installed Europe’s first automatic door in 1951. Today a leading manufacturer of pedestrian and industrial door systems worldwide with 26 subsidiaries and 500+ distributors.

TORMAX is a division of the LANDERT Group, a privately owned Group of companies, characterized by innovation, quality and genuine entrepreneurship. The LANDERT Group was founded in 1924 with its headquarters in Bülach near Zürich, Switzerland, and employs over 1000 staff members across its two divisions SERVAX (customised electric drives) and TORMAX (automatic door systems).

General Manager TORMAX Distribution EMEA (m/w)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the company’s overall Distribution Business in the EMEA world region (Europe, Middle East, Africa)
  • Develop and implement the strategy for the Distribution Business
  • Full P&L responsibility. Achieve the yearly budgets
  • Day-to-day running of the Distribution Business
  • Ensure strong sales field activities along with targeted marketing campaigns
  • Develop further the network of trustworthy and reliable Distributors representing TORMAX in their regional market
  • Responsible for the technical support, training and quality control of the Distributors in order to ensure the Installation and Service of TORMAX door systems according to TORMAX standards
  • Lead a motivated and strong team with entrepreneurial spirit and high motivation. Lead by example

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical background
  • Additional education in business management
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Several years of management experience in the construction business an advantage
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic skills
  • Enjoy refining processes and procedures
  • Pragmatic, precise and structured way of working
  • Winning personality with strong negotiating skills and assertiveness
  • High level of commitment and implementing power
  • Loyal, honest and trustworthy personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent MS Office and ERP know-how
  • Willingness to travel (30-40%)
  • German as mother tongue, proficiency in English, French and Spanish an advantage
