Junior Accountant
Client:
A long-established and reputable, boutique, international fiduciary firm based in Geneva. Working primarily with expatriate clients""both corporate and individual""though not limited to them. The firm offers services including accounting, payroll, corporate advisory, and personal taxation. You'll be part of a close-knit, busy, and small team, offering a potential new joiner the opportunity to build on their Swiss financial accounting experience in a collegial work environment, with a varied and enriching caseload.
Position:
Joining a busy accounting & fiduciary team of 7, our Client is offering a permanent, office-based position with flexible workload options ranging from 60% to 100%. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking part-time or full-time employment within a collaborative, on-site team environment, of human size.
Main tasks will include, but not limited to:
- Bookkeeping and Invoices (Banks etc)
- General ledger
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting (under supervision)
- Journal entries
- VAT and Tax declaration
- Preparation of tax returns for individuals and companies
- Audit assistant
- Payroll accounting and salary management (under supervision)
- Administrative follow-up (direct contact with clients, various tax authorities etc)
Profile:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role, from a fiduciary (a must)
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including preparation of journal entries and accruals - beyond basic data input
- Excellent attention to detail is essential
- Knowledge and experience of Swiss general accounting standards (code of obligations)
- Conscientious and reliable; used to working in a serious manner
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and prior experience of accounting systems (GIT Wineur and payroll software a plus)
- Fluent in English (minimum C1), with strong proficiency in French
- Already living and working in the Geneva area (frontalier OK) with valid work permit
- Open to an office-based job (able to work at between 60-100%)
- Permanent contract, Office-based (No Home Office)
- 60-100% (Flexible within this range)
