Job description:

We are seeking a Lead Creative Producer to guide the artistic and production direction for the organization's multimedia projects. This is a permanent role with flexible working hours ranging from half-time to full-time.

In this role, you will act as the connection between creative vision and the teams bringing it to life-working with animation studios, musicians, narrators, and technical teams. Your mission is to ensure all elements-visuals, music, and narration-work together to create powerful experiences for audiences

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine the creative vision for various projects, guiding elements like animation style, storytelling tone, and how visuals integrate with live musical performances.
  • Simplify complex ideas into compelling, heartfelt visual narratives that appeal to new and diverse audiences.
  • Identify, assess, and coordinate with external collaborators such as animators, illustrators, and production teams, with particular emphasis on partners based in Eastern Europe.
  • Supervise the creation of key creative materials including scripts, storyboards, character designs, and animations to maintain high standards and alignment with the overall artistic direction.
  • Work closely with musicians, conductors, narrators, and event production teams to ensure the visual content complements and enhances live performances.
  • Take charge of producing pilot projects, making sure they meet quality expectations while staying within budget and timelines.
  • Contribute to shaping a consistent and distinctive visual identity that can be applied across multiple productions and media.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience leading creative initiatives in animation, multimedia, or live event production environments.
  • Strong expertise in 2D animation storytelling, with a plus for experience in educational or explanatory content.
  • Ability to clearly communicate artistic concepts and transform them into practical production instructions for remote teams.
  • A good understanding of how music and visual storytelling interplay, preferably with some familiarity with performing arts.
  • Proven skill in managing international vendors and coordinating distributed creative teams.
  • Proficient in both German and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep enthusiasm for expanding arts audiences and a willingness to experiment with new engagement approaches.
