As a member of a small and dedicated team, you will work under the direct supervision of the Board and the President. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • You are responsible for developing and managing the chemical compliance strategy according to the strictest international regulations.
  • You are responsible for the internal and external audits and certifications and for their proactive update according to the leather and watch industries needs and international regulatory requirements.
  • You will be ambassador for AQC and its values

Chemical Expert

MISSION 1: Chemical Test

  • Define and update the testing policy and control plans for all components (leather, textile, interior, glue, threads… ) of the leather bracelet.
  • Management and promotion of regulatory compliance services for other products.
  • Scientific management of AQC risk reduction programmes.
  • Establishment and monitoring of the chemical testing budget.
  • Management of non conformities, including investigations and associated action plans.
  • Regulatory review of compliance documentation required from members.

MISSION 2: AQC audits and certifications

  • Define and update requirements and audit frameworks for quality certifications (ISO9001, AQC Labels, AQC bracelet manufacturers certification).
  • Organisation and execution of laboratory visits.

MISSION 3: Process owner

  • Development of processes related to chemical compliance and certifications
  • Management and monitoring of processes efficiency
  • Management and monitoring of performance, particularly through key performance indicators
  • Reporting to Management
  • Management of improvement actions or projects (audit reports, documentation, technical items, etc.)
  • Management of non-conformities
  • Management and updating of the quality documentation
  • Any other tasks entrusted

Knowledge

  • At least five years experience in chemical compliance in the leather or the textile industry
  • Advanced degree in chemistry
  • Excellent command of English and French
  • Team management

  • Understanding of legislative and regulatory aspects
