Scientist imaging and physical characterization

As a Scientist specializing in microscopy imaging and physical characterization, you will play a crucial role in developing and validating robust analytical methods for a variety of analytical techniques and delivering crucial data for our customers. Your primary focus will be the characterization of parenteral drug products, utilizing imaging and physical characterization testing methods. These include microscopy (both light and electron microscopy), flow imaging (MFI), light obscuration, osmolality measurement, and container closure integrity testing using techniques such as vacuum/pressure decay and laser-based headspace analysis, among others. This will involve the preparation and review of technical documentation to ensure scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
You will ensure the timely completion of projects, delivering high-quality results that meet or exceed client expectations. Effective self management and attention to detail are essential to uphold the standards of service.
Your responsibilities include conducting troubleshooting activities to resolve both methodological and instrumental challenges, ensuring reliable and accurate methods and results. Additionally, you will take charge of analytical instrumentation, managing, maintaining data integrity, and coordinating with suppliers as necessary.
You will provide scientific and technical support to customers, both individually and as part of larger project teams. Your expertise will help guide clients through complex analytical challenges, fostering strong client relationships and project success.
A key part of your role is to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and scientific excellence. You will contribute to a supportive team environment, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and the pursuit of ongoing professional development.
Degree in chemistry, pharmacy, forensics, biology or comparable natural science degree
Hands-on experience with one or several of the techniques mentioned above and the corresponding sample preparation techniques
Experience in method development and validation, including technical documentation.
Experience in quality events, deviations or out-of-specification process and documentation is advantageous
Proactive with a can-do attitude and very good communication skills and scientific writing skills
Work experience in a GMP regulated environment is an advantage.
Team player with a strong service mentality and sense of responsibility
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of German is advantageous.
