Professor UAS in Life Sciences and AI (80-100%)

Are you passionate about Life Sciences, applying artificial intelligence and data-driven methods to address complex biological and biomedical challenges? Join us to educate the next generation of Life Sciences professionals and lead applied, industry-focused research in AI-driven biotechnology and bioanalytics.

Your mission

  • Teach, biochemistry, bioinformatics, AI, machine learning and related fields in Bachelor and Master degree programs

  • Establish and lead externally funded research in AI and deep learning for the analysis and integration of large-scale biological and multi-omics data (metabolomics, proteomics, glycomics, lipidomics), including predictive modelling and AI-driven phenotypic data integration

  • Establish and maintain a network with industry professionals for the benefit of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs and research

Your profile

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Biochemistry, Systems Biology, Chemistry, or a related Life Sciences field with strong expertise in IA and machine learning

  • Industrial experience in a relevant field is an asset

  • Expertise in deep learning, machine learning and statistical modelling applied to large and complex biological datasets. Experience in explainable AI, multimodal data integration and predictive modelling for biological or biomedical applications is desirable

  • Interest in translational, industry-oriented research and passion for teaching students

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary academic-industrial settings

  • Fluent in English, proficiency in French or German
