Position Summary
To complete our Legal Department, we are currently looking for a Legal Counsel - Employment & Labour Law. In this role, you will join the Nestlé Employment & Labour Law Competence Centre and deliver Nestlé specific legal advice, business solutions and support to the HR Community in Nestlé's headquarters and other legal entities in Switzerland on Swiss Employment and Labour law matters, supporting as well global initiatives from the Swiss headquarters in Employment and Labour law matters.
A day in the life of a Legal Counsel - Employment & Labour Law
· Provide legal advice - under a Swiss law perspective - on Employment law matters for employees based in Switzerland and Nestlé expatriates
· Advise on other Swiss law matters when related to an employee
· Advise the HR Community in various projects related to the HR function, contribute to develop and implement the HR strategy
· Handle litigation cases: identify legal issues, assess the legal risks, protect and defend Nestlé interests, represent Nestlé in front of the Court
· Anticipate legislative developments locally and globally and implement them when related to Employment & Labour law matters
· Prepare, develop and give specific legal trainings to the HR Community locally and globally
· Review templates and processes of the HR department, contribute to process-related improvements
· Understand perfectly the challenges linked to collective Labour law in Switzerland in order to be able to advise properly on Employment law matters
· Provide legal advice and guidance in the framework of Employee Relations in Switzerland
What will make you successful
· Master's degree with focus on Employment & Labour law
· Bar admission is a plus. Specialist SBA Labour law would be highly valued (FSA)
· Five to ten years' legal experience focused on Employment & Labour law with a multinational company and/or a top law firm
· Experience negotiating with opposing counsels, unions or employees representatives
· Experience in the implementation of HR initiatives in a multicultural environment as well as proven experience in HR policy understanding and interpretation
· Professional experience in another jurisdiction is a plus
· Written and spoken fluency in English, German is an asset
