SAP Business Analyst Project System

Main responsibilities:

The person will act as Business Analyst for the SAP Project System solution within our IT Department and will recommend the most suitable IT solutions for business stakeholders. His main responsibilities will be the following :

  • Support the homogenization / rollout strategy for the related technology across the Group
  • Define and maintain IT Solutions, Use Cases, Technical Specifications and Test Cases
  • Identify business requirements and shape them into Use Cases, Technical Specifications and Test Cases (see "Business Analyst responsibilities" )
  • Manage the development and testing of the related solutions (see "Project responsibilities" )
  • Manage the transition to of related solutions to support
  • Act as "thought leader" for the IT solutions
  • Act as liaison between the business units, IT and third-party consultants
  • Ensure user satisfaction and promote customer service focus
  • Promote communication across teams and entities
  • Develop and review design specifications for software applications
  • If designated, lead and manage a functional team (internal or external)
  • Perform configuration assignments
  • Analyze and resolve system issues
  • Quality assurance for vendor deliverables
  • Develop and maintain software to support the business processes
  • Create and maintain documentation for code and/or configuration throughout the system development lifecycle
  • Train end users on established programs
  • Provide on-call support and problem resolution for software applications
  • Act as catalyst to implement strategic and tactical change for the business
  • Work with end-user groups in order to deliver IT solutions promoting business goals
  • Conduct business process analysis
  • Perform analysis and document business processes leading to process change and/or system implementation
  • Assist in developing system/application architecture
  • Lead and validate enterprise system designs across multiple business applications
The SAP Business Analyst will also be in charge of projects, changes, studies and consulting and will be involved in projects and business changes to lead implementation of required business needs.
He may also give consulting in study or pre-study phases, to typically analyses needs and provide high level choices.

This may include the following :
  • Coordination of IT Solution deliverable and be accountable for the work delivered
  • Accountable for compliance with agreed IT policies, standards and procedures
  • Controlling and monitoring of the work of external resources assisting us in the specific functional domain
  • Conducting key user training and support transitions

Required experienc e: Minimum 5 years experience
IT skills :
SAP modules: should have a deep knowledge of SAP project system and its integration with:
  • Purchasing (MRP)
  • Production (WBS BOM, WBS routing, Cost estimate)
  • Service (Equipment, service order)
  • Sales (Configurable Item)
  • Finance/Controlling (WBS, result analysis)
  • Good knowledge of CAPEX/OPEX as well as R/D projects
  • Experience with SAP project system in the context of machine sales
  • Good knowledge of the assembly process functionality triggering project creation from sales order
  • Exposure to material configuration in the sales order
  • Master the project lifecycle from creation to scheduling to realization, settlement and
  • MRP process including material reservation
Education and languages :
  • IT or engineering background
  • French/English
