Overview of Role
Provide general assistance to the Zurich based credit team in relation to the analysis, structuring, management and monitoring of new and existing credit transactions (Lombard loans, mortgages and other lending products) for the Group’s (ultra) high net worth client base. To work closely with the team to provide support in relation to various projects.
Responsibilities
- Support a team of credit specialists in the day-to-day operation of credit transactions and monitoring tasks
- Support the team and the head of the credit department with project work related to various credit topics
- Perform daily credit checks for payments and loan transactions
- Daily settlement of limit excesses and support the team with the review and set up of credit limits
- Execution of credit card requests as well as booking and recording of card numbers and guarantees in our banking system
- Support the team with the preparation of various credit applications to committees
- Reconciliation and execution of fee payments in connection with large credit transactions
- Perform standard credit analysis
- Prepare regular power point presentations to various management committees
- Liaise with different departments such as front office, legal and IT
- Analyse and prepare data for management reports
- Proactively liaise and communicate with client advisers on credit transactions
Education and Qualifications
- Bank apprenticeship and/or Bachelor in Banking or Finance
- 3 years relevant experience within the Swiss banking environment or financial industry (preferably in the credit department)
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Professional experience within the Swiss banking environment or financial industry
- Knowledge and interest in financial markets
- Fluent in German and English (Written and oral). Any other languages are considered a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products (focus on PPT and Excel). VBA knowledge is a plus
- Avaloq user experience counts as an additional asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work well in a team with a cooperative and solution-oriented personality
- Efficient and structured way of working
- High attention to detail
- Proactive attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative and reliability
