IMCD Switzerland, a subsidiary of the IMCD Group, employs a workforce of 65 employees at its headquarters in Zurich and at an additional location in Basel.
To support and strengthen our Business Unit Food and Nutrition in the Zurich office, we are looking for a colleague (f/m/d) with immediate effect as:
Sales & Product Manager (f/m/d) 80-100%
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Build and develop profitable business relationships with both existing and new clients in Switzerland
- Conduct regular client visits to strengthen relationships, foster trust and initiate new projects
- Implement a proactive sales approach, including cold calling to identify new clients and business opportunities
- Ensure a robust project pipeline and maintain accurate documentation in the CRM system (Salesforce)
- Collaborate closely with local customer service team to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Set the annual budget in alignment with the European business unit and the local IMCD site, taking responsibility to customers pricing
- Develop and execute a sales and marketing strategies for assigned suppliers and portfolios, ensuring successful execution
- Acquire in-depth product knowledge of the assigned portfolio to assist clients with technical challenges.
- Stay updated on market trends and conduct continuous market analysis to offer strategic recommendations for product management
- Participate in trade fairs and customer seminars to strengthen client relationships and enhance industry expertise
- Build a strong internal network within the IMCD Group by collaborating with key stakeholders, including sales managers, technical teams, and customer service
Your competencies and qualities:
- Master’s degree in food science or a related discipline, complemented by 3–5 years of proven success in selling and developing the food market
- Fluent in German and English. Another language such as French or Italian is a plus
- A hunter mentality with drive to grow the business and achieve ambitious growth targets
- Curious, a quick learner, hands-on and an "anything is possible" attitude
- A communicative, persuasive, and open-minded team player with a structured, independent, and quality-focused approach to work
- Strong business acumen and a commercial orientation, along with a solid understanding of the food ingredients industry
- Willingness to promote and embrace digitalization within the company
- Enjoyment of traveling within Switzerland at least 60% of the time (2-4 days per week)
