Quantitative Risk Developer - Python/PySpark/Snowflake/Risk Models/Simulations
Project:
For our client in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced Risk Quantitative Developer. In this role you will design, develop and optimize quantitative risk models and simulation-based analytics using Python, PySpark and Snowflake, supporting key risk management and trading decisions in a data-driven environment.
Assignments:
- Design, implement and maintain quantitative risk models in Python
- Develop scalable data processing pipelines and analytics solutions using PySpark in a distributed environment
- Build and optimize data-driven solutions and risk reporting layers on Snowflake
- Implement and enhance Monte Carlo or similar simulation methods for scenario and sensitivity analyses
- Ensure model quality through rigorous testing, validation, documentation and performance tuning
- Contribute to best practices, coding standards and continuous improvement of the quantitative development framework
- Support migration, integration and industrialization of models from prototypes to production-grade systems
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantitative Developer, Risk Modeler or Developer with quant focus
- More than 3 years of experience developing software solutions in Python and Pyspark
- Proven working experience with Snowflake
- Solid understanding of quantitative methods for risk analysis
- Experience with Monte Carlo simulations or similar simulation techniques for risk purposes
- Previous exposure to the energy industry is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD, code reviews)

- Englisch fluent (C1 / C2 Level)
- German nice to have
