We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Talent to join our international team. As a Junior Shipping Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to be part of a small, highly dynamic and experienced team that operates in a challenging and fast-moving market environment. In this role, you will not only be supporting the shipping team in operating the company’s vessel fleet, but also will you get an insight into international oil and petroleum products trading. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to kick-start their career in the shipping industry.
Assist in Shipping Operations: Supporting the team in daily shipping operations, including tracking and monitoring shipments, managing external and internal documentation, and liaising with shipping related service partners.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Compile and analyze data related to shipping operations, preparing reports to assist in decision-making processes.
Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all shipping documents are accurately prepared and in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments in the team and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and efficient operations.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to contribute valuable insights to the team.
Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Industry, Science, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Fluent in English; any other language is a strong advantage. Office applicable IT skills.
Excellent on the job training in a small team. Exposure to various facets of the shipping (and oil trading) industry. Being part of a small team and a newly established company that wants to grow.
