Our team is structured to deliver on this: as the AI Solution Engineer, you are the architect, the visionary who designs the "what" and the "why."
You are the crucial first link in our AI value chain. You will work side-by-side with business leaders to understand their challenges and opportunities, translating them into elegant, effective, and feasible AI system blueprints. Your expertise will lie in navigating the rapidly-evolving landscape of AI, especially Generative AI, to design solutions that are not just technically impressive, but also secure, compliant, and commercially viable.
You will define the path forward, creating the detailed architectural plans that our AI Ops Engineers will then build and operate. If you are passionate about solving puzzles, communicating a vision, and designing the future of AI in a business, this is your ideal role.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Architect AI Solutions:
Translate Business Needs into Technical Blueprints: Act as the primary technical consultant for the business. Lead discovery workshops and deep-dive sessions to convert ambiguous business problems into clear, actionable AI solution designs.
Architect End-to-End Systems: Design comprehensive AI solutions, selecting the right combination of technologies (e.g., custom models, foundation models via API, third-party services). Your designs will detail data flows, system integrations, and model requirements.
Pioneer Generative AI Applications: Take the lead in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions like intelligent chatbots, automation agents, and advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to leverage our internal knowledge bases.
Master of LLMs and Prompt Engineering:
Craft & Optimize Prompts: Become our go-to expert for prompt engineering. Design, test, and refine prompts to maximize the performance, accuracy, and desired tone of our Generative AI applications.
Improve AI Co-pilot Performance: Develop and implement strategies to reduce model hallucinations, improve factual accuracy, and ensure the reliability of our AI assistants and copilots.
Bridge Business and AI: Create clear documentation and best practices for prompt design, enabling both technical and non-technical teams to interact with AI models effectively.
Ensure Solution Viability & Governance
Optimize for Performance and Cost: Analyze the trade-offs between model performance, latency, and cost during the design phase to propose the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
Champion Responsible AI: Ensure all AI solution designs are secure, explainable (XAI), and compliant with relevant regulations and ethical guidelines. You will be our vanguard for building trustworthy AI.
Collaborate for Flawless Handovers: Work in a tight-knit partnership with the AI Ops Engineer. You will provide them with clear, detailed architectural specifications, performance benchmarks, and deployment requirements to ensure your vision can be built and scaled efficiently.
What you'll bring
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven Solution Design Experience: Demonstrable experience in a role like AI/ML Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or a Senior Data Scientist with a strong focus on solution design and stakeholder management.
- Deep Generative AI Expertise: A strong, practical understanding of the modern Generative AI landscape, including Large Language Models (LLMs), foundation models, and key techniques like RAG, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
- Business Acumen & Communication: You are an exceptional communicator who can confidently engage with senior business leaders, understand their strategic goals, and translate them into technical reality.
- Hands-on Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience building proofs-of-concept or initial versions of AI applications (e.g., chatbots, data analysis tools, RAG systems) to demonstrate feasibility.
- Broad Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of cloud platforms (GCP and Vertex AI preferred), APIs, data systems, and general software architecture principles.
