As a digitalization enthusiast, you will have the opportunity to drive meaningful change and create tangible business value across our operations. In this role, you will lead impactful IT and digital transformation projects that shape the future of our factory.
You will manage our Digitalization Board – an employee-driven innovation platform – and turn ideas into real solutions. In addition, you will integrate a digital mindset into major hardware investment projects (e.g., fully automated production cells), ensuring that technology and processes work hand in hand.
Depending on your interests and our business priorities, you may also contribute to other key initiatives led by our Value Chain Digitalization team, including:
- Track & trace and warehousing within the S/4HANA transformation
- Building a data platform for advanced analytics in the factory
- Implementation of SAP EWM
- Continuous improvement of the MES
You will join the Supply & Value Chain Excellence business unit in Baden, reporting to the Team Lead Value Chain Digitalization, and work closely with factory and IT leadership and technical experts across our global value chain.
Your responsibilities
- Lead digital transformation initiatives primarily in production, while supporting logistics and supply chain — prioritize projects based on their business value and ensure solutions are effectively adopted
- Analyze and optimize processes, translate them into IT requirements, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
- Develop and standardize digital solutions and technology frameworks for factory and extended operations
- Engage stakeholders at all levels, from shopfloor to senior management, to build support for digital solutions
Your background
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, with an interest in manufacturing digitalization
- Proven experience leading digital transformation projects focused on production environments (e.g., MES), with exposure to logistics, supply chain, or quality management is an advantage
- Strong skills in process analysis and design, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities, capture business needs, and define future-state digital processes
- Technical proficiency, including understanding system architectures, integrations, and interface design, as well as the ability to create simple scripts or prototypes (e.g., Python, SQL, low-code tools) to validate concepts and support solution design
- Experience in machinery or industrial manufacturing is an advantage
- Fluency in English and conversational German required
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders
- Solution-oriented, proactive working style with high self-motivation, curiosity, and eagerness to learn
